James Weber APMA, MBA, MS

James A. Weber is a Financial Advisor. He was born and raised in Garrett, IN. After high school he went to the University of Mount Union to complete his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Sports Business and played for the Purple Raiders Baseball team. Following an attempt to play professional baseball, James turned his focus towards his career and started his Financial Services career with JP Morgan Chase in 2017.

With JP Morgan James moved quickly into a licensed banker position at the Pine Valley Branch in Fort Wayne. There he gained significant experience working with high net worth clients needing a variety of financial services including investments, retirement, business, lending and estate/trust. After approximately 5 years with JP Morgan Chase, James wanted to further develop his skillsets and knowledge and took a role with Moore & Associates as an Associate Financial Advisor and Investment Specialist. Finally, James made his way to Compass Financial Advisors to work directly with Chris Swanson and Kurt Gutman as a Financial Advisor supporting their clients and build his own client base.

During his career, James continued to find ways to expand his knowledge. His post-graduate education includes an MBA from Walden University in 2018 and MS in Leadership and Management from Purdue University Global in 2022. On the investments side, he acquired his Accredited Portfolio Manager Advisor (APMA) certification in 2022 and is currently a Level One Candidate of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
